Senegal: Nokia is taking on local applications

The manufacturing mobile giant Nokia is interested in Africa and especially in Senegal. The manufacturer has the intention to invest in the mobile application market in the country.

Noting that the vast majority of distributed applications on the continent only offer european content, Nokia intends to take into account African realities by developing a suitable offer: local news by and for locals.

With the development of 3G in Africa and the success of social networks like Facebook in Africa, the mobile phone is much more than just make calls. Nokia shows its intention to position itself in this new market in Africa.
